Here are some tips to help get your kids ready for back to school.
It’s not easy getting your kids back on a schedule for school. Here are some helpful tips to make the transition a little easier:
- Adjust their bedtime routine (they need to go to bed at a consistent time to be well rested and ready to learn in the morning)
- Make sure they eat a healthy breakfast (they’re more alert and do better in school if they eat a good breakfast every day)
- Write down need-to-know info to help them remember details such as locker combination, class times, lunch start and end, homeroom and classroom numbers, teachers’ and/or bus drivers’ names, etc.
- Help your child organize her desk or work area, binders and other materials. Establish routines and provide time management tools like schedules, planners, checklists, to do lists, etc.
