Ingredients
- 1 cup nuts (your favourite, or a mix of raw, unsalted)
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
Instructions
- Toss nuts and syrup together in a bowl until all nuts are coated evenly.
- Spread in a single layer on a parchment-lined baking tray with a lip, and bake for about 20 minutes, stirring at the half way point.
- When done, the toasted nuts will be fragrant and there shouldn't be much liquid left.
- Take out and let cool.
Notes
Eat as is, use as topping for ice cream, add to popped popcorn or green salad or sprinkle over cooked veggies to make them more appealing to kids.
Variation: Experiment with seasonings in the syrup to change the flavour; add cinnamon, or make it spicy with a pinch or two of cayenne. Be creative until you find the combination your family likes best.
